Youth Christmas Celebration..

i haven't been to the youth for more than one year.

but i did go two weeks ago to listen to Tim Lim sing.

and i went again tonight.....to see my bro do his drama.

so the night started out with games.

Pass the Parcel..

then P&W..

then it was drama time.

haha.

didnt catch the rest of the drama on camera. lol.

then after a short word time...

we had gift exchange.

i got a cool notebook as my gift. =)

then there were refreshments at the front porch.

BBQ party & overturned BUS!

tonight was our cell group's Christmas BBQ!

we started preparing the food at 3pm...

the menu was::

BBQ chicken wings & hot dogs..

grilled lamb chops...

potato salad..

garlic bread..

eggs... with mayo.

marshmallows...

COLA!

purple flames...?? cool.

dinner time!

there were about 17 of us....

marshmallows! so yummy...

after dinner..

we washed up...

then played games.

Taboo!

very fun game.. and it tests your vocabulary.

after playing games..

we ate ice cream.

then went down the hill for a walk... to go see..................

......THE OVERTURNED BUS!

lol.

the people were staring at us....

because we kept taking pics and posing and playing around... =X

but they didnt chase us away. they probably thought we were tourists from Palace Hotel. 

that's it for tonight.

i had great fun with the cell group!

our young adult cell group went out caroling tonight..

it was fun.

told jokes in the car...

then we got to the house...did our thing... lol.

then talked with our host family for a while..

while eating kit kat and cloud 9. =D 

then after that...we went to yam cha!!

our cell group's favorite thing to do. haha..

went to eat chicken wings at LOTUS. so nice lerrr..

cant wait for our Christmas Party this friday!

after church...went out with my long time friend (known each other for about 15 years!), Pam..

and her boyfriend, daniel, rach, moses.

we went to lunch at Kingfisher...

then we went to 1B... =)

yes....Christmas shopping! that was our excuse la.

The Christmas atmosphere is everywhere.

we walked alot today. back and forth 1B...

and miraculously, i did not buy anything for myself!

see.....self control level is rising. =P

only bought a pressie for brother. 

wow...i'm so impressed with myself. =D

after shopping a bit...

went to Secret Recipe to rest!

who knew that my best friend from Tawau.. (known Pam since 3 years old)

would be my darling rach's cousin!

enjoyed today alot.

we got to talk about the past.... about Tawau.

hehe.. quite miss the good old days..when we were YOUNG. =.=

dropped by to see Eden Hotel.... very nice deco inside!

after dinner... we went to 1B to SHOP!!

supposed to buy Christmas pressies....

i ended up buying more stuff for myself.

but i did manage to find some stuff for friends and family.

last day of DEYC 09!!

yesterday was the last day of camp!

i wasnt a participant..but i was so tired!

helped to serve breakfast as usual.

then went to the cafeteria to eat and just hang out while waiting for lunch.

then i dropped by the session just before lunch time.

after serving lunch, had rehearsal for 1min2fame.

then went home and rested and showered...

i helped Jon host the 1 Minute to Fame..

the participants can perform anything for one minute.

it was really fun hosting it... =)

and i'm really impressed with some of them.

they can dance/sing/etc so well!

after that...i had to count and see the results.

the Tawau Boyz won first place with their MJ dance.

i was very happy with the results. haha... 

the Closing Ceremony at night was so full of energy.

i could tell many people didnt want to go home.

hehe....

after it all... went to Tanjung Aru with the FCC team, Hao, JT and Rai-rai.

got home... slept so well!

got to go Christmas shopping!!

youth camp.

nope.

this year i didn't join youth camp.

why??

#1. none of my friends from Tawau or KK (my age) were joining.

#2. kinda lazy... =X

so i just helped out..

during meals and games.

yesterday..... we had to blow 500 balloons for a game. 

i am quite scared of balloons....because sometimes they exploded in my face.

well, one way to get over the phobia is to do it...500 times!!! 

so yeap....we succeeded. =D

see? isnt it pretty? 

he was afraid of balloons too.

but he overcame it.. haha. 

glad to see lots of familiar faces at camp.

all the little kids from Tawau are all grown up and taller than me!

fun to catch up with them....

going again tonight....

and will see Betty too! yay....

Peppermint & Luna Rosa.

it is Sunday once again.

service was great. Nat is back... missed her so much. 

After service... had a fun lunch with Sammy, Winston, Moses, Tabby, Hao, my brothers and a boy called Adrian. We went to Peppermint. The beef noodles was nice.

I found out it is owned by Anneliese's family...a student from ASAA. Quite glad to see her today....miss her and the other students so much. Really cant wait to go back to work again. 

Then came home and rested. 

At night, family went to eat dinner at Luna Rosa.

Christmas Tree...

today was a quiet day.

spent the whole morning watching my fav tv shows. =D

then i decorated our Christmas Tree.

i love these tiny baubles. 

while decorating the tree... by myself!!

i kept thinking and wondering...

WHY a tree during Christmas...? why not a cactus or something? lol.

and who on earth started this tradition?

hmmmm...

one of the stories i found out said that this tradition was started......

those of you who hate history you can sleep now.

....in the 16th century..in Germany!

Saint Boniface stopped some pagans sacrificing a child under a big oak tree.

and he cut it down...and a fir tree grew in its place. 

and he said that this evergreen tree was a symbol of Christ's promise of eternal life.

so yesterday, 

Tabby and I made a cheesecake. 

for my dad's birthday.. 

it was a success! haha... considering it was our first time making baked cheese cake.

then, after lunch.... we went to Tanjung Aru Beach Hotel. 

why? for fun... and to take pics.

no one kicked us out...cuz i think we looking like tourists. haha. 

first we took pics indoors around the hotel. 

then we went to the swimming pool n the beach. 

so hot!! luckily we had tons of sunblock.

it's another day gone by

i enjoyed my lunch with Betty Babe just now.

we laughed alot as usual.... 

always have a good mood when i'm around her and rach. 

i dont know why but the three of us always seem to understand each other so well.

and we have one thing in common.. no..no. TWO.

#1. we LOVE to laugh... at absolutely ANYTHING. really... we can laugh all night long and still laugh till morning. =P

#2. we like to gawk at hot guys. heheheeee.. well, so does every other teen girl i guess. 

i have cell group later!

yay...the highlight of the middle of the week. haha.

i LOVE mondays cuz that's the first day of school every week... (during school time i mean.)

i LOVE saturdays cuz it's the weekend! i love work...but i do need rest too. =P

but i totally LOVE wednesdays...cuz i can meet my cellies and have a great time with them.

it's December..

December is finally here!

Christmas is coming soon...

Youth Camp is even sooner. waahhh...

and New Year is also around the corner. =)

I can't wait to start a new year actually.... 

I want to get back to work. Hehe... 

I really miss them. =(

So miss the feeling... =D

but i have braces now..... =X nahh! that ain't gonna stop me.

ballet was good just not...but i sweat like anything!

at least i can exercise..
