updates... =)

22 june::

after eating breakfast, we went out to a small town called Vergina (pronounce it Ver-gee-na) It is where the Royal Tombs were.

first, took the bus from Thessalonica to Veroia,, then from there to Vergina. about one and half hour trip altogether.

reached Vergina after 1pm.. walked to the Royal Tombs which is in the middle of the "town".. went inside... (i was free entry again.. weee!! being under 18 rocks. =P)
we saw the tombs of King Philip II.. Alexander the Great's father! and a tomb of what they believe was the tomb of Alexander's son. it was very interesting inside... they were buried with tons of gold and weapons and cups and bathing vessels. and tombs of other people also..dont know who they are.

walked around the "town" or Vergina while waiting for our 5.30pm bus. I wouldnt consider it a town even.. just one road with maybe....6 or 7 coffee shops and 4 or 5 souvenir shops. that was it!!! =X oh my oh my... those shops are just for the tourist that visit the tomb.. so no tourists, no business.
and it was so quiet.. mostly old people living there la..but i guess they like that.

got back to Thessalonica by 8pm... went to dinner at a restaurant near our hotel again.. then went back to hotel, pack and slept early... early like...12am. yes, very early.


23 june::

woke up at 4am!! @.@

got ready and checked out of our hotel by 4.30am.... our taxi was waiting...and drove us to the airport.
our flight was at 6.30am so had to check in by 5.30am you see. sighh.....

flew from Thessalonica to Athens, then Athens to Brussels.

on the plane, i dreamt of my kids. the second time i dreamt of them.... sigh. i miss them too much!

then from Brussels,....we took the train to Oostende. and waited for uncle Dirk to pick us up..

got back to aunt's house...ate lunch. smoked salmon!!...and smoked mackerel..salad..bread.. =D
after lunch...dessert was ice cream with hot choc sauce!! yumms..

then we sat and chatted for a while.. many laughs.

tonight, cousin bringing us out to go shrimp fishing! fun fun fun.

tomorrow and the day after is SHOPPING DAY!

10 days till i get back... =)
