PARIS... day one

woke up at 5 am today... packed up and went to train station to catch the train to Paris which leaves at 6.11am.
it took us 3 hours to reach Paris..

see my pink luggage? teehee....

it was SO COLD! brrr.....
walked round n round the station to look for information counters. went to check into our hotel---Kyriad Hotel which is just opposite the Gare Du Nord (The North Station).
then went to look for the bus stops.. walked for mayb half an hour around the town then only found it! goshh...tiring man.
kinda hard for us too...cuz everyone speaks french. and their english is not that good.
lucky aunt can speak a bit of french la.. =S

Paris is not as glamorous as you think!!

traffic jam everywhere..
cramped full of people...
dirty streets and train station...
reminds me of Malaysia. so bad oh me. =X
what you see on tv is not what you see here.
lol.
i dont understand why people say it is the most romantic city..
cuz i didnt feel any romance. lol
maybe need to come with you lover then only romantic?
dont know la... =S



We ate lunch at Le Magenta. A very nice place...had great food! I had onion soup for a starter and roast beef with potatoes for the main course. =D
rach would have loved it cuz of the cute waiters... =P
after resting for a while,....we walked all the way to the Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart Basillica) and took the cable car up to the top. It was raining so we ran inside the church for shelter. very big church....looks bigger than the HOP, Tawau.

after taking a tour of the church (couldnt take pics inside)....we went back down the hill and took a bus to the Arc de Triomphe.

we always see this in movies ehh.... =)

then we took the Metro underground train to the Opera House....
and went into the Lafayette... it is a huge department stall (like Harrods in England). All the famous brand names....and quite expensive.
Sat down at a cafe to rest and have a hot drink. walked around in Lafayette....so name nice things! expensive la... =X
shoes shoes shoes especially... ugh. so gorgeous. LV, Versace, Prada, Gucci, Guess, Marc Jacobs.....etc.

especially if you're stinking rich! (like betty... lol. JK!!)

we were too tired already. so took the Metro to Gare De Nord and walked back to our hotel.
so so tired!! had been walking around since 9am till 6pm.....

walked 9.6km today! wow..... but only burned 500 calories. =.=

we know cuz my aunt has a step counter thing.

hmmm..definitely did alot today.

tomorrow planning to go to see the Eifell Tower. =D
