Greece--Corinth & Piraeus

today, we checked out of our hotel (below).....

nice seaside town, Loutraki..

took the bus to Korinthos (Corinth)..
then took another bus to Achaia Korinthos (Ancient Corinth)..
yes, Bible time Corinth.
very interesting...

well, what's left of it anyways..

Apostle Paul used to preach here..
wow.

Ancient Corinth was destroyed by earthquakes..

so just the ruins left.. but you can still see what the city used to be like...

you can see fountains, the Roman forum, the theaters, and shops/houses on the street..etc

we could still hear water flowing..

it was SO hot..

cuz we went during midday.. =X

about 33 or 34 C.. sigh.

12.30 noon.

waiting for the bus back to Corinth...

we ate cherries for lunch... healthy lerr... =P

at first i thought i wont like it...but it doesnt taste like those fake cherries we get on ice creams.. =S

if you like grapes, you'll like fresh cherries too.

there are hundreds of these smart cars around..

every street we go...everywhere we go! sure got one..

france, italy, greece.................

guess cuz the streets are so so narrow.

we went back to Loutraki and took another bus to Athens....

from Athens, we took the train to Piraeus (a port town)

and we walked all the way from Pireaus train station to our hotel..

they said it was walking distance wah....."10 minutes"

we walked for like 20++ minutes... plus we had all our luggage!!

goshh...

i nearly wanted to lie on the pavement and not get up. lol

after walking and walking and walking........

FINALLY!!!!! saw our hotel...

we were all red faced and sweating..

checked in and took a nice COLD shower.

then we went out to eat dinner and buy water.....

came back to hotel.....

now just checking mail and blogging in the lobby...

the good thing about this hotel is it has free internet! in room and also lobby.

not wifi... i dont trust wifi anymore. lol..

this is cable internet... faster and more reliable.
